Helping Teijin Automotive Upgrade for Higher-Strength Honda Material Requirements

Teijin

Project overview

Visionary Manufacturing Solutions supported Teijin Automotive with the installation of a new COE coil feed line designed to process higher-strength material required for a new Honda program. This was the fourth coil line Visionary helped provide for the customer, building on a strong working relationship and proven equipment performance.

Customer Challenge

Teijin Automotive’s existing Minster conventional feed line was no longer able to properly process the higher-strength material required by Honda. The customer needed a heavy-duty coil handling system that could meet the demands of the new material while fitting within their existing guarding and available floor space.

VMS Solution

Visionary provided a COE feed line package that included a 30-inch-wide servo feeder, a 350 Series 30-inch-wide straightener, and a 10,000-pound coil reel. The system was selected to support higher material strength, improve feeding performance, and integrate into the customer’s existing production environment.
